The Schmoo cat is developing a special relationship with the kids on our street. She goes to sit in our bay window, and the kids come and look at her and poke at the window and so on. She goes into a mad hissing spree, which the kids find amusing to no end and copy her and so it continues until someone gets bored. Me myself am willing to forgive anything to the neighbourhood kids. Ah, such wonderful children they are... They thought I was in fact Jim's daughter! Bless. I must be getting old, since I'm this delighted for being categorized into the wrong generation. Mind you, now the whole street probably thinks we're one of those "Seventeen-year-old girl marries man of 50" couples... Hmmm. I found out my destiny today. Not to be confused with profoundness (dear me, would I ever get into anything like that?!), my destiny on my career path after this week, that is. Hmmm... I'm not sure whether to be happy or annoyed. You see, our current dig is ending this week (although will continue later because we are such gorgeous and excellent and brilliant company/workers that they just can't get enough of us) and everyone will be re-scattered around the whole island. Now, there is this medieval dig starting up near Dublin where most of the people I work with right at the moment will be going. They'll be staying in a B&B, only coming home for weekends, and that is why my boss had thought I would perhaps not want to go, what with having a husband and just having moved and all that. Considerate, yes. But to be completely honest, I wouldn't have minded that much... It's medieval and it's something new and the people are lovely... Not to worry though, my company isn't ditching me. There will be office work for me (oh hear my muscles, bones, joints and tendons cheer!) for a while, miscellaneous things to do, and then I'll be coming back to where we currently are.
